DANIEL HOFMANN
Daniel Hofmann, geboren 1986, interessierte sich schon früh für Fotografie und begann bei einem Studentenmagazin seine Leidenschaft für das Medium auszuleben.
Seine Vorbilder Jessica Dimmock, Steve McCurry, Elliott Erwitt und Robert Capa führten ihn schnell zum Menschen als zentrales Thema seiner Fotografie.
Dabei sucht er vor allem nach den ruhigen Momenten, selbst wenn es um ihn herum hektisch zugeht. Egal ob in den Straßen Hamburgs oder in den engen Gassen Kalkuttas: Das Gefühl in der richtigen Sekunde am richtigen Ort zu sein, ist immer etwas Besonderes.
Die Schwarzweiß-Fotografie übt eine besondere Faszination auf ihn aus:

Daniel Hofmann, born 1986, has always been interested in photography but his passion truly awakened when he worked for the college newspaper at Jena University. Photographers like Steve McCurry, Elliot Erwitt, Jessica Dimmock and Robert Capa are the ones Daniel looks up to. They lead him directly to his central subject: humanity. He is always looking for the quiet moments in life, even in the most hectic situations.
It doesn’t matter if he walks through the streets of Hamburg, his favorite German city, or the narrow lanes of Kolkata: the feeling to be in the right place at the right time is always something special and every conversation with a stranger enriching.
